Method

Negative Space (NS), imagine sealing a city and filling it with water, mapping its overall volume using math. The space the water fills is what we care about. This analogy translated into drive capacity and speed. We started with sorting because it's competitive, benchmarked, and runs on anything. Good proof of concept. Structured data has a lot of space for "water" in it. It worked, so we incorporated and kept going, 23 products made it through. Then we stopped, felt 23 were enough, and diverted our attention towards securing our work.

We also liked the "can it run on a laptop" constraint and kept going further, deciding not to ship anything unless it can be run by anyone anywhere.

We couldn't find a lightweight obfuscation tool that takes more resources to crack than the resource it's protecting. Every one we found was really heavy and slow on smaller devices, or already compromised. We built one using our methodology, works in 600 lines of code.

After working on compute and compute security, we tested our methodology on civilizational problems. Most were between materials, proteins, and governance. We started Bob, then made Bella. Same lens, different domain. BFT governance came from the same place.

The same constraint applied to AI. We wanted to reduce the load AI training and inference have placed on global compute and power infrastructure, so we developed the best tools we could to reduce as much of it as our Negative Space methodology allowed.

Physics came last and we weren't looking for it. We saw a picture of void bubbles and thought they looked like soap. We followed that. 85 theorems. The Standard Model fell out. Everything did. We went back to Bob and Bella to add foam mechanics.

This entire stack was made and run on a laptop, with a few hours of cloud GPU computing for testing and mild training. The purpose of this toolkit is to not let cost and compute stand in the way of solutions. Everyone deserves a chance, everything here is free for everyone acting as individuals. We want you to take it, run with it, and change the world, because now the math says we can.

We only charge licensing fees from entities that can pay. This will help fund the much larger ideas in our minds that we can't act on yet.
